HYDROPONICS IN INDIA -
HydroHerbs is India’s first brand that farms and sells exclusively Gourmet Hydroponic Produce. The inspiration for HydroHerbs grew out of our desire to grow food that’s fresher, tastier, better for the environment and change what we eat as a society. We are a family farm, operating every day of the year. Our family has owned and operated an organic mango farm since the 1980s. We are now the nation's most Passionate Pioneers of Fresh Herbs. Our Herbs are as unique as the people who cook with them. We love the fact that a single herb can suit a variety of tastes. Savor the diversity of flavors with us.
Today, the term "quality" when referring to fresh produce is related to the external characteristics, size and uniformity, something that seems to be far from the essence of the term. This is the result of highly mechanized and intensified agricultural production by big companies in India.
For our hydroponic farm, quality is not something that has to do with how the product looks on the outside, but on what is the essence of it – how to enhance the special desirable characteristics of each one, and more importantly, how it tastes! This primary goal is where our whole philosophy points to from production to packaging. Simply, it is not good for our produce to look great, while their “real” qualities are missing.
For us, progress is not about more, but about best. This is why, we decided to trade off size over quality. We try to make this mentality our trademark, on our produce, as well as on our everyday activities.
Our answer to mass industrialized agricultural production, where the motto is “get big or get out” is: “small is beautiful”

How we grow
At HydroHerbs, we use nutrients made from botanical extracts and natural minerals. The nutrients are imported from General Hydroponics, the world renowned nutrient producer.
All our produce is grown without pesticides and harmful chemicals. We don’t use "organic fertilizers" either. The plants are grown in very pristine conditions.
Our “herbologists” and visitors are required to wear disposable hair-nets, gloves, masks and plastic shoe covers before entering the poly-house. The packaging of the produce is also done within the poly-house to prevent contamination.
We’ve made the move from organic to hydroponic and you should too.
When you open the pack, you will be “attacked” by the aroma of the herb you chose from our range. Before using it, make sure to rinse the quantity you need to use. Our farm, made a conscious choice to avoid rinsing, in order for the herb to reach you free of any hardship – and so fresher and with more beneficial compounds. Herbs should always be rinsed just before using them, to avoid essential oil loss and a flatter taste.
We have placed in a cup, 25 grams of aromatic herbs, quantity sufficient for several meals. Fresh herbs have a more intense flavor, so less is needed when compared to dried ones. This way of packaging gives you the option to store the amount that was left over in the fridge. Depending on the type of herb, it can be kept fresh this way for 10 days, up to 2 weeks without any loss in flavor.
Buying packaged herbs and leafy vegetables, saves you money and time, since our produce is carefully selected, ensuring that you will be able to use the whole quantity purchased.
Nothing compares to flavoring your everyday meal with leaves cut from fresh herbs you are growing on your own. This is the reason we have created the line of products named “Potted Herbs”. This way you can cut fresh stems and leaves of your favorite herb to cook. The high content of aromatic compounds guaranteed by the freshness a living plant will add flavor and taste that no dried substitute can offer while all the beneficial and therapeutic properties are maximized.
Committed to Sustainability, Good Business and The Healthy Food Movement
HydroHerbs has adopted innovative sustainable farming practices to ensure that Indian agriculture remains an important source of local produce and a robust sector of the country's economy. When we naturally grow healthy food, we grow healthy communities and a greener planet too. That's what we call good business!
There are many aspiring hydroponic farming copycats in India offering very cheap, low quality "Hydroponic" produce. Their produce is most likely grown outdoor using pesticides in PVC equipment leaking lead into your food. All our produce is greenhouse grown and packed.
